SCORE WITH SUNBONNET SUE or The Underappreciated Crafter Part II

My sister gave me a gift certificate to Antiqueland http://www.antiquelandusa.com/default.aspx/MenuItemID/387/MenuGroup/AntiqueLandUSA.com.htm for Christmas.

Look at what I found waiting just for me....fifteen blocks of SUNBONNET SUES!!




Notice how even the blanket stitches are!






Look at the stitches....so uniform and precise!  The applique stitches are wonderful!


So....obviously someone was cleaning out a relative's home and these were relegated to the  "dispose of " bin.  Poor underappreciated, misunderstood crafter!

I can't wait to finish this into a quilt.  I love these Sunbonnet Sues.  I am thinking 30s reproduction fabric!?

    Nice score! I love your BOM quilts. I'm starting one with embroidery this month, and I'm looking forward to the change of pace from so much quilting.

    Well, I love all of your quilts and I love the BOM you ordered...I gave that to my Mom for Christmas! I'm anxious to see how it looks when finished!
