I spent today at the Dallas Quilt Show with other members of DMQG....and many many other folks. I saw two of my pals from the DMGQ friendship group and I even saw a friend I made during my harrowing H.H. class last August. We embraced each other like POW pals...really!
The show did not disappoint...it was a feast for the eyes!
I hope you enjoyed the virtual tour. It was a FUN DAY and many vendors there willing to sell you wonderful things!! I was willing to buy some wonderful things....two of my friends scored a jelly roll of Denyse Schmidt's Katie Jump Rope and one friend purchased a wonderful Lone Star Quilt done in 30s fabric....I found one of those also!! By 1:00 p.m., I was pooped....I may or may not have taken a nap this afternoon after I got home! :)
Of course, once I got home, I saw all news on the tsunami and devastation in Japan....saying a prayer for them....I believe a donation to the Red Cross is in order.
The show did not disappoint...it was a feast for the eyes!

Wow! I can't believe we were both there. I saw many of the quilts you have posted...spent more time picking my jaw up off the floor than snapping pictures.
ReplyDeleteAs tired as my puppies were, I can't wait until August to do it all over again in Plano.
Thank you so much for the virtual tour. Being in another state, one misses great show, but you made this one real for us. Great photos.
